If you were not a therapist, what other career would you choose?

If I were not a therapist, I would wish to be in actor. I find I grow as a person when I am able to to play a role, metaphorically put myself in someone else shoes and try them on. It's a great escape for me. It's also fun and rewarding.

What is a treatment modality you are passionate about?

As with Dr. Becky, Howard Glasser's Nurtured Heart approach, or SPACES, families I see are turning around negative behaviors by using parental boundaries to support their child's abilities vs. punishment. This results in improved behavior, self-esteem and child-parent relations.

What do you wish clients could know about therapy before starting therapy?

Therapy is a collaboration. I care about what is happening outside the therapy room and want to support you . I value your input so I can both help your child address difficulties and actively support your parenting needs. I aim for insight and understanding, never judgment.
